The API as an Attack Vector

Intel's Travis Broughton on Addressing New Risks
The API as an Attack Vector
The application programming interface is now an attack vector, which creates new security issues, warns Travis Broughton, IT architect at Intel.

"Previously you protected your Web servers. Now you also need to protect your Web services," Broughton says.

In an interview at the RSA Conference 2014, Broughton:

  • Outlines key application security issues;
  • Provides of overview of mobile security trends.

Broughton is an enterprise architect with more than 15 years of experience designing and managing distributed systems. At Intel, Travis works to deliver a private cloud-based platform-as-a-service environment for Intel's Web API and application developers. He has also contributed to Intel's cloud program.
